Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casimiro Nicoletta (ranked 1702 p4p, 2034 weight class) and Billy Wilson (ranked 258 p4p, 294 weight class). Nicoletta comes into the arena with For Once In My Life blaring out of the sound system. Wilson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Under the knife kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nicoletta as he jumps to the side.
Nicoletta swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Nicoletta lands with a nice body punch.
Billy Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nicoletta's waist but Nicoletta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilson off to one side.
Nicoletta throws a series of punches but Wilson moves out of range.

Nicoletta has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wilson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Casimiro Nicoletta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Wilson.
Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nicoletta pinned against the cage. Nicoletta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Wilson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nicoletta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wilson.

Nicoletta cracks Wilson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nicoletta has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Wilson to stand back up!

Nicoletta catches Wilson with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Wilson forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
