Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Breccov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Wilks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Breccov's entrance music is Gortoz a Ran . A fine choice. Wilks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Eminence Front kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeff Wilks!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breccov shoots in but no luck this time.

Wilks gets caught flat footed, as Breccov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Breccov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wilks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Breccov has Wilks in his guard.
Wilks trying to control but Breccov is working from the bottom.
Wilks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Breccov is looking to stand up but Wilks isn't so interested in that idea.
Wilks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wilks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Breccov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilks trying to control but Breccov is working from the bottom.

Breccov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wilks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Breccov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wilks's back instead.

Wilks is really stuck here.
Wilks turns into Breccov and is now in his guard.
Wilks passes Breccov's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Wilks is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wilks tries to pass the half guard into mount. Breccov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wilks is keen to just control but Breccov is a slippery customer.

Wilks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Breccov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilks as he avoids it easily.
Wilks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Breccov.

Wilks gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Wilks is looking to improve his position but Breccov isn't that keen on the idea.

Breccov lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Breccov is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wilks has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wilks!
Breccov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wilks!
Wilks is bucking up trying to escape but Breccov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Breccov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wilks is looking to escape.

Wilks avoids the head kick by Breccov.
Breccov shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilks tries to sprawl out of it but Breccov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilks manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wilks connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and Breccov counters with a single leg into guard. Wilks didn't expect that.

Breccov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wilks's guard.

Wilks wants to improve his position but Breccov is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Breccov in particular looking to stall.
Wilks wants to get back to full guard but Breccov has passed into side control.

Breccov has control of Wilks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wilks regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Breccov prevents Wilks from getting the reversal.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Breccov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Wilks is looking to get to half guard.
Breccov lands a nice shot to the head.
Breccov controlling the pace for now.

Wilks is breathing heavily.
Breccov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wilks hang on?

Breccov is looking to advance position but Wilks has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Breccov wants to control but Wilks is having none of it.
Wilks wants to control the pace but Breccov is squirming around nicely.
Wilks is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Breccov can't escape the position.
Breccov is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Breccov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Wilks stands up out of the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Breccov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wilks gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Wilks has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Breccov is proving hard to escape from.
Wilks trying to control but Breccov is working from the bottom.
Wilks takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Breccov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Wilks off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Breccov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wilks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Breccov stands up and beckons Wilks to his feet.

Breccov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wilks is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Breccov is staying tight to Wilks's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Breccov decides to stand back up. Breccov steps back and let's Wilks get back to his feet.

Wilks tries to keep at a distance but Breccov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Breccov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Breccov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Breccov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilks is one step ahead there.

Breccov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Breccov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jeff Wilks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Wilks counters by clinching up.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Breccov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
