Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Mercer (ranked 560 p4p, 519 weight class) and Crush Bandicoot (ranked 65 p4p, 62 weight class). Mercer comes to the cage accompanied by Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Mercer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crush Bandicoot!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A shot to the liver by Bandicoot. Beautiful body shot.
Mercer throws a sloppy head kick and Bandicoot moves out of range easily.
Bandicoot blocks a head kick by Mercer.
Mercer throws a lazy right hand but Bandicoot sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bandicoot misses with a body shot.
Bandicoot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mercer.
Bandicoot appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Bandicoot dodges the punch combination from Mercer.
Bandicoot feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mercers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bandicoot let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
No joy there for Mercer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mercer wants to land a leg kick but Bandicoot is out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bandicoot scores with a hook to the body. Mercer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bobby Mercer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mercer jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Mercer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mercer has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Bobby Mercer has been cut.
Mercer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bandicoot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bandicoot fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mercer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Mercer misses with a left hand
and Bandicoot counters with a right hand that sends Mercer tumbling to the canvas! Can Bandicoot finish him? He dives into Mercer's guard looking to do just that!
Mercer is rocked!
Bandicoot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oh Mercer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bandicoot stands up over Mercer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Mercer is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at LAFC Training Center that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Mercer is looking to stand up but Bandicoot isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mercer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mercer wants to stand up but Bandicoot is controlling him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bandicoot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mercer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mercer is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mercer sizes up Bandicoot with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Mercer misses with a hook.
Mercer throws a sloppy head kick and Bandicoot moves out of range easily.
Bandicoot tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bandicoot misses with a wild body shot.
Mercer throws the left hand but Bandicoot avoids the punch easily.
A slow jab from Mercer misses its intended target.
Bandicoot throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Bandicoot counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Crush Bandicoot dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bobby Mercer's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bandicoot catches Mercer napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Mercer to the canvas!
Bandicoot chips away with some ground and pound.
Bandicoot loads up on a big left hand. Mercer felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Bandicoot looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mercer can't hide his disappointment, as Bandicoot celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Crush Bandicoot!
A victorious Crush Bandicoot thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
