Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aiko San (ranked 35 p4p, 423 weight class) and Punchy Cartwright (ranked 7 p4p, 61 weight class). Cartwright has chosen A Pound of Flesh as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Aiko San has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aiko San seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Aiko San!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Punchy Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright tries a low kick but San avoids it.
San was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
San uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cartwright.
San throwing a counter right hand but Cartwright manages to avoid it.
Cartwright misses with a body kick.
A quick step to the side and San tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
San scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
San feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cartwright sprawling to the canvas! Cartwright rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can San finish him?!
Cartwright is rocked!
It looks like Punchy Cartwright has been cut.
Cartwright takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cartwright is still on wobbly legs! Can San finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cartwright ducks into an uppercut from San and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aiko San!
Aiko San retains his lightweight title!
Our winner, Aiko San, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
