Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoji Anjo Anjo (ranked 4469 p4p, 3450 weight class) and Tayaen Porfirigo (ranked 524 p4p, 436 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tayaen Porfirigo!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porfirigo throws a lazy body kick

and Anjo counters with a single leg into guard. Porfirigo didn't expect that.
Porfirigo is trying to keep Anjo in close.
Porfirigo keeping moving, preventing Anjo from controlling successfully.
Porfirigo looking to control.
Anjo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Anjo won't allow Porfirigo to sweep him here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Porfirigo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Anjo is stalling in the full guard.

Anjo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Anjo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Anjo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anjo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Porfirigo counters with a left and a right that stings Anjo.

Anjo slaps away a takedown attempt from Porfirigo, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Porfirigo gets a double leg takedown into Anjo's guard.

Anjo is looking for a triangle but Porfirigo pushes his legs off easily.
Porfirigo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Anjo has a closed guard, preventing Porfirigo from standing up.
Porfirigo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Anjo controls Porfirigo momentarily but Porfirigo frees himself.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Anjo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Porfirigo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Porfirigo tries to close the distance and clinch but Anjo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Anjo counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Porfirigo!
Porfirigo is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Anjo has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Anjo is looking to take a break and control but Porfirigo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Anjo gets to mount! Porfirigo was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tayaen Porfirigo will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Anjo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anjo wants it to stay on the feet.
Porfirigo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anjo pinned against the cage. Anjo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Porfirigo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anjo is trying to defend but Porfirigo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Anjo can't keep his opponent in guard - Porfirigo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Porfirigo thows a huge punch but Anjo dodges it nicely.
Anjo manages to get to full guard.
Porfirigo wants to stand but Anjo has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anjo scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Anjo with that takedown attempt.
Anjo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Anjo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Yoji Anjo Anjo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tayaen Porfirigo.
Anjo walks into a stiff left hand from Porfirigo.

Porfirigo rushes Anjo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Anjo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Anjo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Anjo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Porfirigo manages to get himself to full guard.

That's time! Anjo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Anjo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Porfirigo tries to avoid it but Anjo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Porfirigo to the ground. Porfirigo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Porfirigo. No joy for Anjo on that attempt.
Porfirigo is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Porfirigo dives in and scores a takedown into Anjo's guard.

Anjo tries to score a body lock takedown but Porfirigo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Porfirigo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Porfirigo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Anjo keeping his opponent close.
Yoji Anjo Anjo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Porfirigo working away.
Anjo tries to improve position but can't.
Anjo is working hard here to advance position.
Porfirigo cracks Anjo with a big right hand but Anjo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Porfirigo wants to control but Anjo is keeping him busy.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anjo is trying to control Porfirigo's posture but Porfirigo avoids it.
Anjo stops Porfirigo from passing to mount.
Anjo wants to control but Porfirigo postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Porfirigo darts in and clinches Anjo up against the cage.

Anjo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Anjo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Porfirigo throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Porfirigo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Anjo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Porfirigo circles away.

Porfirigo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Anjo swivels and escapes.

Tayaen Porfirigo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Porfirigo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Tayaen Porfirigo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
