The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reinegger throws a right and a left that Forte avoids nicely.
Reinegger stalks Forte and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Forte's face. Forte staggers backwards, shaken.
Reinegger tries a head kick but it misses.
Reinegger wants to clinch.
A punch combination from Reinegger misses.
Reinegger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Forte.
Tom Reinegger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reinegger fails to land with a series of punches.
Forte throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reinegger's waist but Reinegger gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Forte off to one side.
Forte tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reinegger swivels and escapes.

so Forte counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Forte wants to pass the guard but Reinegger is keeping the position.

Reinegger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Forte on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Forte thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Reinegger wants to clinch up but Forte keeps it at a distance.
Reinegger throws a right hand that Forte ducks under and follows up with a left that Forte also avoids with ease.

Forte closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
