Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Novak Stack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Thornton!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stack drops his hands momentarily and Thornton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Thornton stalks Stack and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Stack's face. Stack staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Novak Stack has been cut.

Stack is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Thornton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Stack tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stack has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thornton felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Stack has hold of Thornton's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Thornton seems comfortable defending it but Stack has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Thornton is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Thornton is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Stack couldn't care less - he's delighted!
