Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 23783 p4p, 6133 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Xxx Xxx has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter B throws a half hearted mid kick.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.
Fighter A misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fighter B was well out of range. Poor timing from Fighter A.
Despite the aggression on Fighter B's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice sprawl there from Fighter B as Fighter A shoots in.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter B shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fighter B was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee asks Fighter B politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fighter B prefers to stall for the moment though.
Who's going to make the next move?
Fighter A is being controlled here.

Fighter A can't do much from the bottom here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fighter B controls the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter B keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fighter B is trying to counter with his kicks.
Fighter A looks for a takedown but Fighter B sprawls well.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Fighter A throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter B's waist but Fighter B gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fighter A off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fighter A defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter B.
And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it.

Fighter B gets the takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Fighter A struggling a bit here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A is pushing Fighter B's head away, looking to escape. Fighter B manages to hold on to the position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter A is looking to counter with a body kick.
Fighter A fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fighter B replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Fighter A blocks it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fighter B as he jumps to the side.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fighter B sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Fighter B thinks about the counter body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter B drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fighter B throws an elbow that misses. Fighter A uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Fighter B's guard. Nice move by Fighter A!

Fighter A throws a big elbow that misses.
Fighter B lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fighter A looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B stays in close to Fighter A's body and controls the position.
Fighter A is adopting a defensive guard.
Fighter B controls from within his opponent's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Fighter B has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Fighter A wants to sweep here but Fighter B controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fighter B is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fighter B's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A countering left hand to the body from Fighter B misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fighter B is defended easily by Fighter A.
Fighter A shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fighter B pinned against the cage. Fighter B gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fighter B counters with a body kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B leaves Fighter A with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fighter B follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fighter B shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fighter A but Fighter A pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fighter A lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Fighter B displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fighter A.
Fighter B raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It appears Fighter A was looking to counter with a kick there.

Fighter B manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fighter A on his heels. He'll look to pass Fighter A's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Fighter A tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fighter A controlling Fighter B's posture.
Fighter A is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter A seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Xxx Xxx has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Xxx Xxx is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Xxx Xxx has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well Fighter B has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
