Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Rourke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jetset Niemi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niemi has chosen Parker & Clind - Generator as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mickey Rourke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niemi swinging wilding here.
Niemi swings for the body but Rourke moves out of range.
Niemi throws a nice looking combination but Rourke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rourke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Niemi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rourke somewhat.
Niemi thuds a left hand into Rourke's body.
Rourke fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Niemi connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rourke ducks under a wild hook from Niemi.
Rourke has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Niemi finds it's way round the side to connect with Rourke's head.

Rourke is rocked!
Niemi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rourke checks a leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Niemi.
Rourke is breathing heavily.
Rourke moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Oh Rourke is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Rourke shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Niemi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Rourke seems to have got his legs back now.
Rourke prevents Niemi from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rourke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rourke stops Niemi from standing up.
Niemi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Rourke is working to get back to half guard.
Niemi wants to get back to his feet but Rourke is holding on tight.
Rourke keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Niemi tries to control but Rourke wriggling away.
Rourke can't escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Niemi stands up from mount. Strange move.
Niemi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Niemi checks a leg kick nicely.
Niemi just misses with a punch to the body.
A chopping leg kick lands by Niemi.
Nice takedown defense from Niemi. No joy for Rourke on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mickey Rourke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rourke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Niemi pinned against the cage. Niemi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Niemi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rourke has time to react.
No joy there for Niemi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Niemi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rourke on the side of the head.
Niemi misses with the combination.
Rourke dodges the punch combination from Niemi.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Niemi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rourke was well out of range. Poor timing from Niemi.
Niemi throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Niemi drops Rourke with a beautiful combination! Rourke stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Niemi is looking for the KO!
Niemi moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Rourke goes down! Can Niemi finish him!?

Rourke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Niemi wanted to stand there but Rourke had control of the position.
Niemi content to stall in guard here.
Niemi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Rourke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Niemi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Niemi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Niemi tries to free his leg and advance position but Rourke is retaining full guard.
Rourke will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rourke looking for a sweep. Not yet Rourke, not yet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A jab from Niemi misses.
Niemi throws the left hand but Rourke avoids the punch easily.
Rourke fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rourke is looking to clinch but Niemi is avoiding it.
Nice takedown defense from Niemi. No joy for Rourke on that attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rourke shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Niemi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rourke momentarily.
Niemi cracks Rourke with an uppercut from hell and Rourke crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Niemi's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Rourke looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Niemi puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jetset Niemi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Niemi walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Rourke drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Niemi swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Rourke's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
