PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Happy Chukwudu (ranked 3948 p4p, 22871 weight class) and Harlin Faliaygo (ranked 468 p4p, 567 weight class). Chukwudu's entrance music is Rooster. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Happy Chukwudu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harlin Faliaygo!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faliaygo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chukwudu takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Faliaygo throws a head kick that misses
and Chukwudu counters with a series of strikes. Faliaygo will be more careful next time no doubt.

Chukwudu shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chukwudu was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Chukwudu tries for a kimura but Faliaygo is defending well.
Chukwudu is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Faliaygo's shoulder. That is not cool.
Faliaygo is trying to get back to half guard.
Chukwudu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faliaygo keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chukwudu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chukwudu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Faliaygo misses with a strike from the bottom.

Chukwudu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Faliaygo has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chukwudu controls the position.
Chukwudu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faliaygo keeps working.

Chukwudu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Chukwudu is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Faliaygo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chukwudu gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Faliaygo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chukwudu lets go of the hold and Faliaygo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
