Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tarik Oren (ranked 1234 p4p, 2012 weight class) and Bloodsport Strongman (ranked 48 p4p, 78 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Oren is predictable there
and Strongman counters with a single leg into guard. Oren didn't expect that.
Strongman is fighting to break Oren's control of his arms but Oren is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

I was talking to Oren's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Oren cracks a nice hook into Strongman's ribs.
Oren cracks Strongman with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Strongman tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Oren pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Strongman is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tarik Oren!
Our winner, Tarik Oren, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
