The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laurent closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Laurent definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Laurent in side control lands a decent elbow.
Laurent lands a few punches from side control.
Laurent connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hallstro some visible discomfort.

Hallstro is rocked!

Hallstro is still in real trouble! Can Laurent finish him?
Hallstro is looking to reverse the position.
Laurent lands some shots froms side control.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
You can see the frustration on Hallstro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hallstro is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Laurent is staying active.
Hallstro is looking to reverse the position.
Hallstro is trying to control Laurent's posture but Laurent avoids it.
Laurent knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hallstro on the ground.
Hallstro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Laurent haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hallstro seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laurent lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hallstro quite badly. Hallstro pulls Laurent in close trying to recover. Laurent postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hallstro on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hallstro doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
