Spider checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Spider looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Powers!

Spider tries for a kimura but Powers is defending well.
Powers is trying to get back to half guard.
Spider wants to lay and pray for a moment but Powers keeps working.

Spider is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Powers knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Powers is not content to let Spider control the position.

Spider has hold of Powers's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Powers tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Spider cranks the arm and Powers screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Powers, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
