Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kingsley Brown (ranked 3951 p4p, 23264 weight class) and Jumbo Johns (ranked 162 p4p, 178 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kingsley Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jumbo Johns!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws out a powerful jab.
Johns missing with a left hand there. Brown was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Brown avoids the body shot from Johns.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Brown.
Johns throws an off balance right hand

and Brown counters with a big 3 punch combo that drops Johns on his ass! Johns wobbles back to his feet half way through the count and though looking a bit dazed, the referee is going to allow the fight to continue!
The fighters circling - Johns throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brown wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Brown throws a hook but Johns avoids it easily.
Johns avoids the head kick by Brown.
Johns lands the left hand.

It looks like Kingsley Brown has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Brown has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Brown takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Johns.
Johns jabbing away but nothing is landing.
It looked like Brown was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Jumbo Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johns misses with a looping right.
Johns on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Brown scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Johns beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

It looks like Jumbo Johns has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
Johns misses with a body shot.
Brown throws a nice looking combination but Johns bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Johns's coach down at Finch Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Johns's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Johns closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the ropes.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Brown.
Johns takes a shot to the head.

Johns is rocked!
Johns trying to control the position but instead, Brown has worked for underhooks and has pushed Johns into the ropes.
Johns is still on wobbly legs! Can Brown finish him?

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Johns seems to have recovered his senses.

Johns closes the distance and clinches.

Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown stuns Johns with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Brown uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johns.
Brown moves away from the strike by Johns.
Johns ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Johns tests Brown's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Kingsley Brown's cut is getting worse.
Johns get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Johns stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Brown runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
