Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Karelin (ranked 823 p4p, 1111 weight class) and Magnus Gunnarsson (ranked 108 p4p, 150 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruslan Karelin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Magnus Gunnarsson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunnarsson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Karelin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Karelin feinted with a counter takedown.
Gunnarsson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've been hearing reports that Karelin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Well Gunnarsson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
