Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hate shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gracie darts in and clinches Hate up against the cage.
Hate has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gracie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Hate slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hate wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.

Hate goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hate but great work by Gracie.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie trying to control but Hate is having none of it.
Hate is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie has control of Hate's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hate regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hate can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hate regains half guard.
Hate moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jacare Gracie will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hate shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gracie finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Hate sprawls well.

Gracie has closed the distance and engaged Hate in a clinch.
Gracie is pressed up against the cage. Hate has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gracie down to the mat. Gracie avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hate shoots in and bounces Gracie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hate trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hate stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hate is really struggling to control Gracie but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Hate passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Hate moves into full mount! Gracie won't be happy about that!

Hate is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gracie has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Hate lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Gracie is trapped and Hate is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Hate cracks Gracie with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Gracie from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Hate controlling the positon.

Gracie is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
