The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paul Beecher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beecher lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bundy's sensitive parts.
We've been informed that Beecher has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bundy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Beecher.

Beecher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bundy scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Beecher swings wildly with an uppercut but Bundy uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Solomon Bundy will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Beecher takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Beecher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bundy was well out of range. Poor timing from Beecher.
Beecher fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bundy manages to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Bundy 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Bundy will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
It seemed like Beecher was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Beecher works Bundy's body with a nice hook.
Beecher tries a head kick but it misses.
Bundy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Beecher looks to land a body kick but Bundy moved away.
Beecher scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Beecher lands a head kick that sends Bundy down! Bundy is flopping around the mat trying to get back up, leaving the referee no choice but to wave off the fight! Beecher is victorious!

A relieved looking Paul Beecher thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
