Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Lazar Petrovic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Petrovic is looking to get back to is feet but Stevens passes into side control.

Stevens decides to stand back up. Stevens steps back and let's Petrovic get back to his feet.
Stevens stuffs the takedown.

Stevens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Stevens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stevens clinches up with Petrovic and pushes him back against the cage.

Lazar Petrovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Stevens.

Stevens jumps into guard, dragging Petrovic to the mat.

Stevens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Petrovic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stevens to the mat! Stevens manages to get full guard.

Stevens pushes Petrovic off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Petrovic bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stevens can't do much from the bottom here.

Petrovic throws a strike but Stevens avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Stevens uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Petrovic.

Petrovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Petrovic is working for takedown but Stevens is calmly controlling the position for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stevens pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stevens moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Nice takedown defense from Petrovic. No joy for Stevens on that attempt.

Stevens tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Petrovic blocks a head kick by Stevens.
Petrovic fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Stevens checks it well.
Petrovic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevens as he jumps to the side.

Petrovic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stevens looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stevens struggling a bit here.
Stevens might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Petrovic haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Stevens tries to get to full guard but Petrovic has control of the leg.
