The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jonathan Paton and Lou da Vinci.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Barnes moves into the clinch.
Barnes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mason changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barnes fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mason is looking to clinch but Barnes is avoiding it.
Barnes seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Mason fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barnes is looking to counter the offense by Mason and move into the clinch.
Mason shoots in for a takedown but Barnes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Barnes instigates a clinch.
Mason drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Trevor Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bea Mason.

Mason has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Barnes is trying to keep an underhook but Mason manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Barnes is refusing to be controlled, as Mason sits in half guard.

Mason drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barnes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barnes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barnes!

Mason is trying to improve his position.
Barnes has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Barnes trying to control the position but Mason is working away.
Mason tries to bench press Barnes off him but Barnes keeps the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Mason's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Barnes swings around for an armbar but Mason sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Barnes's guard.

Barnes pulls Mason in to control the position.
Barnes wants to control but Mason passes easily into half guard.
Mason is looking to take a break and control but Barnes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Barnes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Mason seems to be working for a kimura but Barnes defends the submission attempt.
Barnes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barnes.

Barnes pulls Mason in close to prevent any damage.
Barnes being controlled here, momentarily.
Mason trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Barnes pulls Mason in close to his closed guard and prevents Mason from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mason manages to get himself to full guard.

Mason has his feet on Barnes's thighs here. He's pushed Barnes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Barnes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
