The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marek.
Rua lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Rua blocks a head kick by Marek.
Rua throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rua misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rua missing with a left hand there. Marek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rua fails to land with a series of punches.
Rua tries to bum rush Marek with a series of wild strikes but Marek uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rua tries to pull guard but Marek holds him up against the cage and eventually Rua drops back down to his feet.

The cut man is working on Semba Rua's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rua throws out a loose jab but Marek uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marek lands a big head kick that sends Rua tumbling to the mat! Marek takes a step backwards and waves Rua back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Marek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rua swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Marek cracks Rua with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Marek has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rua to stand back up!
Rua is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Rua, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rua is still on wobbly legs! Can Marek finish him?
Marek pounces like a tiger and cracks Rua with a vicious hook! Rua is down but not out! Marek follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
