Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yago Steve (ranked 14 p4p, 15 weight class) and Cedric De Boise (ranked 3 p4p, 4 weight class). De Boise has chosen Do Your Thing as his entrance music. Yago Steve has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Boise misses with a low kick.
De Boise has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Steve ducks under a wild hook from De Boise.
De Boise takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Yago Steve has been cut.
De Boise takes one to the side of the head.
De Boise misses with a hook to the body
and Steve counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Steve throws a head kick that misses.
Steve looks for the body kick but De Boise saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steve cracks De Boise with an open hand slap.
De Boise takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A looping hook to the body misses from De Boise. Steve does a little dance to reset his feet.

Steve connects with a right hand. De Boise shakes it off.
De Boise takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Steve counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
De Boise lands with a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steve looks for the body kick but De Boise saw that one coming.

and De Boise counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Steve scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. De Boise doesn't seem bothered though.
Steve tries to work over De Boise's front leg with a kick but De Boise checks it.

Steve closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Steve looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
De Boise moves away from the strike by Steve.

Steve swings away with a body shot that misses
and De Boise counters with a nice body kick.
De Boise throws a lazy uppercut
and Steve connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steve takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Steve is breathing heavily.
Steve goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
De Boise bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Steve's head backwards.
De Boise loads up on a big right hand but Steve slips the punch.
Steve is looking to counter punch.
De Boise misses with a body kick.
Steve shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A combination from Steve does no damage.
Steve walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Steve doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steve missing with a left hand there. De Boise was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
De Boise avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd cheers as De Boise lands an impressive looking overhand right. Steve doesn't seem phased though.
De Boise's corner calls for a 1-2. De Boise obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A big right from Steve misses.
Steve throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steve misses with a lunging right hand
and De Boise counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

De Boise has managed to clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Cedric De Boise will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Yago Steve's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Steve drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
De Boise misses the body punch
and Steve counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

De Boise cracks Steve with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. De Boise has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Steve to stand back up!
Steve takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steve slips under a jab from De Boise.
Both fighters circling a little - De Boise finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Steve tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and De Boise is able to avoid easily.
De Boise punishes Steve's body with a nice straight punch.
De Boise lands with an uppercut that bounces Steve off the cage and back into range.
Steve rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and De Boise makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

De Boise lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steve will feel that in the morning.

and De Boise counters with a nice body shot.
De Boise lands with a thumping leg kick.
De Boise punishes Steve's body with a nice straight punch.
De Boise closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Steve! De Boise dives in looking to finish! Steve is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
