The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dadaeff sizes up Lew with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lew bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Dadaeff closes the distance looking to clinch
and Dadaeff takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Lew misses with an attempted mid kick.

The crowd cheers as Lew lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dadaeff doesn't seem phased though.

Lew uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dadaeff.

Dadaeff manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lew misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dadaeff.

Dadaeff escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lew is looking to score with low kicks.
Lew throws a low kick but Dadaeff avoids it.
Dadaeff doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Dadaeff has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dadaeff there as he acknowledges the shot.

Dadaeff swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lew wants to clinch.

Dadaeff lands an overhand right.
Dadaeff ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lew moves away.
Lew throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lew avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A little feinted left hand from Lew on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lew takes one to the side of the head.
Lew wants to clinch up but Dadaeff keeps it at a distance.
Dadaeff misses with a body punch
and Lew counters with an outside leg kick.

Lew throws a wild body kick that Dadaeff sees coming a mile off.
Dadaeff throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dadaeff keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lew.
Lew connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lew showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dadaeff.
Lew is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dadaeff.

Dadaeff throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Dadaeff throws a nice looking combination but Lew bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Julius Lew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dadaeff pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lew swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lew looks to throw the jab but Dadaeff is out of range.
Dadaeff is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lew.
Lew seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Dadaeff pushes Lew up against the cage in a clinch.

Lew tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dadaeff just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lew tries to land a knee to the head but Dadaeff blocks with his arms.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lew creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Dadaeff lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lew backwards.
Dadaeff lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Dadaeff manages to break the clinch.
Lew takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Dadaeff is rocked!
Lew fakes the body blow, causing Dadaeff to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Dadaeff goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
