Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Old Leg Tartakov!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott throws a lazy right hand but Tartakov sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tartakov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Tartakov fails with a takedown attempt.

Abbott gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tartakov to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tartakov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Tartakov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Abbott pulls Tartakov in close to prevent any damage.

Abbott is pulling down on Tartakov's head. It's preventing any offense from Tartakov, at least for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tartakov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Abbott on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Abbott tries to get out of the position.
Tartakov wants to pass the guard but Abbott is keeping the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Abbott falls off balance throwing a combination

and Tartakov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Abbott is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tartakov jumps into side control!

Tartakov has an Americana. Abbott didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tartakov is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tartakov hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
