Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Petr Vrabec (ranked 2450 p4p, 2423 weight class) and Thiago Lourenco (ranked 252 p4p, 248 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Lourenco!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vrabec throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lourenco has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Vrabec.

Lourenco drives through with a takedown into Vrabec's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lourenco wants to control from the top but Vrabec keeps moving.

Lourenco seems to be working for a kimura but Vrabec defends the submission attempt.

Lourenco looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
