Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dirty Shoe (ranked 5864 p4p, 5690 weight class) and Silang Avicena (ranked 566 p4p, 0 weight class). Shoe has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Dirty Shoe has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dirty Shoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silang Avicena!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avicena shoots in looking for a takedown but Shoe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Avicena's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
It appears Shoe was looking to counter with a kick there.
Shoe is breathing heavily.

Shoe tries to sprawl but Avicena drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Avicena is nestled in close to Shoe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Avicena working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Avicena looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like Avicena might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Let's hope that Avicena has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Shoe tries to buck Avicena off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avicena scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Shoe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Avicena on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Shoe has left one of his arms exposed and Avicena doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Shoe screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
