The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Knaller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Suzuki swivels and escapes.
Suzuki tries to clinch up but de Knaller circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Suzuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
de Knaller misses with a takedown attempt - Suzuki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
de Knaller looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kevin Suzuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan de Knaller.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

de Knaller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Suzuki pinned against the cage. Suzuki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jan de Knaller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Suzuki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
de Knaller closes the distance and clinches up with Suzuki, looking for a takedown. de Knaller pushes Suzuki against the cage but Suzuki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Suzuki misses with a two punch combination.

Suzuki scores with a spinning back kick!
Suzuki throws a right hand that de Knaller ducks under and follows up with a left that de Knaller also avoids with ease.

Suzuki has closed the distance and engaged de Knaller in a clinch.
A short body shot lands from Suzuki as the two fighters clinch.
de Knaller drops down looking for an ankle pick but Suzuki pulls his leg out and moves away.
Suzuki looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Suzuki could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Suzuki throws a nice looking combination but de Knaller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

de Knaller scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

de Knaller has hold of Suzuki's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Suzuki seems comfortable defending it but de Knaller has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Suzuki is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Suzuki is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but de Knaller couldn't care less - he's delighted!
