Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luka Marka (ranked 1119 p4p, 2429 weight class) and Klaus Chugman (ranked 25 p4p, 66 weight class). Marka's entrance music is HADES. A fine choice. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Marka's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chugman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marka tries to avoid it but Chugman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marka to the ground. Marka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Klaus Chugman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chugman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Chugman shoots in and bounces Marka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Marka is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Marka is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Marka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chugman keeps working.
Chugman regains half guard.
Marka wants to take a breather but Chugman is having none of it.

Chugman wants to control the action here but instead Marka manages to pass to full mount!

Marka takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
