The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asakura lands with an uppercut that bounces Fermier off the cage and back into range.
Asakura lands with a hook. Fermier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Asakura connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fermier moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Fermier shoots for a double leg takedown but Asakura sprawls well. He's pushed Fermier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Asakura is trying to control Fermier's posture. Fermier takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Asakura! Fermier is rotating here... this could be the end... Asakura is out! Fermier has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
