Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Hedegaard (ranked 1195 p4p, 23106 weight class) and Peter Golles (ranked 178 p4p, 674 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Simon Hedegaard has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Simon Hedegaard seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hedegaard misses with a takedown attempt - Golles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hedegaard slips under a jab.
Golles misses with a straight right.
Golles tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hedegaard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Golles throws a body punch but Hedegaard moves out of range.
Golles uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hedegaard.
Golles gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hedegaard to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hedegaard is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Golles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hedegaard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hedegaard stands and throws Golles's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Golles is not content to let Hedegaard control the position.
