Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theron Roark (ranked 4547 p4p, 3116 weight class) and Shannon Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Theron Roark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shannon Hood!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hood moves into the clinch successfully.
Hood decides to pull guard.
Roark avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hood really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Roark trying to control but Hood is working from the bottom.
Roark won't allow Hood to sweep him here.
Hood keeping moving, preventing Roark from controlling successfully.
Hood trying to keep a closed guard but Roark is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roark drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roark jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Roark thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hood wants to sweep but no luck.
Roark stands and throws Hood's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hood struggling a bit here.
Roark has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hood!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roark wants to control the pace but Hood is squirming around nicely.
Roark is working for a guillotine from mount but Hood frees his head quite easily.
Roark is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hood to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hood shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roark working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Hood looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Roark! Submission of the night perhaps?
