Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Stamatis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hop moves away from the strike by Stamatis.
Hop was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Alexandros Stamatis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hop bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Stamatis's head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hop.
Stamatis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hop at a distance.
Stamatis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hop moves away.
Stamatis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hop misses with a head kick.
Stamatis just misses with a punch to the body.
Hop throws a hook but Stamatis avoids it easily.
Stamatis misses with a straight left.
Stamatis keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stamatis blocks a head kick by Hop.
Hop throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stamatis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hop.
A counter left hand to the body from Stamatis misses its target.

and Stamatis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stamatis throws a shot to the body.

Stamatis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hop sprawling to the canvas! Hop rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stamatis finish him?!

Hop is rocked!

It looks like Hip Hop has been cut.
Stamatis cracks a nice hook into Hop's ribs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stamatis lands a body shot.
Stamatis lands a brutal uppercut that launches Hop off his feet! Hop tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

In his post fight interview, Alexandros Stamatis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
