The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bates is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Heisenberg sees it coming and defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bates wants to pass the guard but Heisenberg is defending well.
Bates thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Heisenberg's head.
Heisenberg is looking for a sweep. Bates is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Werner Heisenberg will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bates with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Heisenberg to score with a decent uppercut.

Bates is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Heisenberg is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Heisenberg lands a big uppercut and Bates crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bates looks OK. Heisenberg waves Bates back to his feet!
