Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Russian Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carey Bolden!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolden dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bear. That did some damage!
Bolden tries to land a front kick but Bear steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bolden misses with a few strikes there.
Bear shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bear was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bolden sneaks out the side door and pushes Bear away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Bolden bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bolden drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bear is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bolden is aware though and is defending well.
Bear has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bolden should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bear has tightened it up now! Bolden should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Russian Bear!
