Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrej Ebacot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shawn Larkin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrej Ebacot!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Ebacot!
Larkin shoots for a takedown but Ebacot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ebacot uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Larkin.

Larkin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Larkin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ebacot is looking to escape.
Ebacot slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Larkin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ebacot's head.
Ebacot is looking to escape.
Ebacot wants to stand back up but Larkin manages to pass into side control.
Larkin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Larkin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Larkin throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Ebacot works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ebacot is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larkin is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Larkin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ebacot!

Larkin won't let Ebacot get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Larkin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Larkin lands a big shot there that rocks Ebacot but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Ebacot wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Larkin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ebacot is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Larkin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ebacot is looking to escape.
Ebacot really wants to buck Larkin off and get back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ebacot looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ebacot moves in looking to clinch but Larkin pushes him off.
A jab from Ebacot misses.
Ebacot goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ebacot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Larkin gets a takedown into half guard.
Larkin prevents Ebacot from standing back up.
Larkin content to control rather than advance.

Larkin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Ebacot could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Larkin has cracked it and Ebacot is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Larkin!
