PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pierce Freeman (ranked 6034 p4p, 25297 weight class) and Charles Mouse (ranked 529 p4p, 578 weight class). Freeman comes to the cage accompanied by Hammerhead Entrance Song. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierce Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Mouse!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mouse is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Mouse forces Freeman back against the cage and clinches.
Mouse wants a takedown but no success here.

Mouse has hold of one of Freeman's legs. Freeman is fighting the takedown attempt but Mouse gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Freeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mouse throws an elbow that misses. Freeman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mouse's guard. Nice move by Freeman!

Freeman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mouse's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mouse looking for a guillotine here but Freeman defends easily.
Mouse keeping moving, preventing Freeman from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Freeman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mouse pulls Freeman in to control the position.
Mouse really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Freeman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Freeman trying to control but Mouse is working from the bottom.

Mouse wants to reverse the position here. Freeman has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Mouse is forced to tap! Mouse looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
