Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lars Fightmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Planet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Planet is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by plug in baby. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Planet looks for a takedown but Fightmann sprawls well.

Fightmann closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fightmann lands in his opponent's guard.

Planet has his foot on Fightmann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fightmann works his way back into a safe position though.

Fightmann thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Fightmann seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Planet had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fightmann is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Planet Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fightmann's back instead.

Planet doesn't have the hooks in and Fightmann manages to turn into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Planet is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fightmann sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Planet's guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fightmann looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Fightmann is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Planet is just riding it out for now. Fightmann eventually gives up the hold.

Planet is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fightmann scores with a couple of nice shots.

Planet is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Planet is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fightmann's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Fightmann! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Planet has tapped! This one is allllll over!
