Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lesley Dancer!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mancha Aisland!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aisland avoids the body shot from Dancer.
Dancer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Aisland walks into a jab.
Dancer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aisland moves away.
Dancer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aisland.
Dancer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Aisland's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dancer dips to his left and cracks Aisland with an uppercut!
Dancer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dancer sets himself, and Aisland steps forward looking for the clinch! Dancer avoids it this time.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Aisland misses with a shot to the body
and Dancer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Aisland takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dancer connects with a right hand. Aisland shakes it off.
Aisland is rocked!
Dancer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Dancer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aisland stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dancer jabs at Aisland's body.
Dancer throws a shot to the body.
Dancer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Aisland is still on wobbly legs! Can Dancer finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dancer lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Aisland head around and knocks him out cold! Dancer hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lesley Dancer!
