PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diego Hageman (ranked 5348 p4p, 1690 weight class) and Gauthier Delisle (ranked 422 p4p, 174 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gauthier Delisle!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delisle closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hageman's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Delisle connects with a nice short shot to Hageman's temple.

Delisle slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Diego Hageman will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Gauthier Delisle's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Delisle crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hageman - the referee stops the clock and Delisle gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hageman. Delisle manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
