Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malig Hunt (ranked 3723 p4p, 6354 weight class) and Marc Johnson (ranked 405 p4p, 573 weight class). Johnson has chosen 300 Violin Orchestra as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been told by Hunt's head coaches at Dodgers that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hunt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Johnson has his takedown stuffed
and Hunt counters with a series of strikes. Johnson will be more careful next time no doubt.
A jab from Hunt does it's job there.
Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hunt counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hunt lands with an uppercut that bounces Johnson off the cage and back into range.
Johnson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Hunt circles away easily
and Johnson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Malig Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Johnson.

Hunt stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson takes one to the side of the head.
Nice sprawl there from Hunt as Johnson shoots in.
Johnson moves forwards but Hunt connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Johnson needs to keep his hands up - Hunt had a free shot at his head there.

Johnson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Hunt thuds a left hand into Johnson's body.
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunt finish him?
Malig Hunt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hunt punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Hunt swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Johnson.

It looks like Marc Johnson has been cut.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Hunt shows good takedown defense.
Hunt is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Hunt lands a body shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Johnson. Johnson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Johnson gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Johnson tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Hunt is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Johnson buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Johnson!! Johnson is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Hunt throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
