Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Frost (ranked 1145 p4p, 1252 weight class) and Richmond Belvedere (ranked 65 p4p, 74 weight class). Frost comes to the cage accompanied by SETH ECT - B.L.A.S.T. Robert Frost is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richmond Belvedere!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost misses with a double jab.
The crowd cheers as Belvedere lands an impressive looking overhand right. Frost doesn't seem phased though.
Belvedere has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Frost.
A punch lands to the side of Frost 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Frost tries to clinch up.
Frost is looking to land body kicks.
Frost connects with a leg kick.
Frost fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Belvedere is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Belvedere unleashes a big counter combination but Frost bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Belvedere is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Frost's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Frost is looking for a sweep. Belvedere is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Belvedere seems to be looking for submissions.
Frost moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Frost looking to control.

Belvedere drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Belvedere jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Frost looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Frost has momentary wrist control but Belvedere slips an elbow through the middle.
Belvedere scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Frost is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Belvedere throws a big elbow that misses.

Frost escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belvedere gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Belvedere lands a couple of digs.
Frost controls Belvedere momentarily but Belvedere frees himself.
Belvedere chips away with some ground and pound.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Belvedere working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Belvedere won't allow Frost to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Frost holds on and takes a little breather.
Belvedere lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Belvedere postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Belvedere has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Belvedere lands a couple of elbows.
Frost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Belvedere on the ground.
Belvedere lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Belvedere drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Frost manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Belvedere has Frost in his guard.

Frost looking to sit in guard and control but Belvedere gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Frost trying to keep a closed guard but Belvedere is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belvedere drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Belvedere seems to have locked his on tight now - Frost screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Belvedere, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Richmond Belvedere!
Richmond Belvedere took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
