Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chip Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Malkind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chip Stevens has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chip Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geronimo Malkind!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens throws a right and a left that both miss.

Malkind shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Malkind showed some decent athleticism there.

Malkind is looking for a kimura here.
Malkind is trying to control. Stevens wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Malkind uses his free foot to push down on Stevens's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stevens.

Malkind with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Stevens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malkind on the ground.

Malkind is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Stevens can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malkind prevents Stevens from getting the reversal.

Malkind has hold of Stevens's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Stevens manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Malkind takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Stevens swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Stevens bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malkind manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Malkind trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Malkind is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Stevens has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Malkind moves to the back position.
Malkind tries to keep control of the position but Stevens is staying busy.

Stevens is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Malkind gets his way!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stevens is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Stevens is breathing heavily.

Malkind looking to break Stevens's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Stevens remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Malkind will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Malkind is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Stevens has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Malkind has his arm under Stevens's chin here. Game over son! Malkind squeezes tightly and Stevens is forced to tap out!
