Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Macho Man Randy (ranked 2893 p4p, 3121 weight class) and Lazuran Riku (ranked 70 p4p, 78 weight class). Macho Man Randy had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Macho Man Randy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 49 - 22 - 2, fighting out of New York, Lazuran Riku!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randy connects with a jab.

Randy catches Riku napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Riku to the canvas!

Riku is rocked!

Randy drops back, looking for a kneebar! Riku looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Riku looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Riku!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Riku has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Randy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Riku has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Randy finds it's way round the side to connect with Riku's head.

and Riku counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Randy gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Riku is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Randy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Riku manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Randy has Riku in his guard.

Riku is looking to stand up but Randy won't let him.

Randy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Riku is aware though and is defending well.
Riku loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Randy controls Riku momentarily but Riku frees himself.

Riku gets to his feet. Randy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Macho Man Randy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Randy scores with the left hand. Riku knows he should have avoided that one.

Randy has managed to clinch.
Riku tries to work over Randy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Lazuran Riku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Randy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Riku is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Randy, into his guard.

Randy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Riku defends it easily.
Riku seems to have recovered his senses.
Randy is trying to control the position but Riku postures up.

Randy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riku can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Randy looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Riku has picked Randy up and slammed him! Randy can't keep hold of the triangle and Riku manages to pass to side control!

Riku decides to stand back up.

Randy rushes Riku and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Riku misses with a hook to the ribs.
Randy lands a shoulder strike.

Riku manages to break the clinch.
Randy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Riku counters with a stiff right hand.
Randy misses with a looping right.

Randy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Riku is trying to defend but Randy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Randy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Riku is just riding it out for now. Randy eventually gives up the hold.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Randy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Randy tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Riku counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Randy lands with a nice body punch.

Randy drives through with a takedown into guard.

Riku has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Randy has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Riku pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Riku throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Riku misses with a body shot.
Randy just misses with a punch to the body.

Randy manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Riku on his heels. He'll look to pass Riku's guard now, I'm sure.

Oh Randy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riku fakes the body blow, causing Randy to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Randy goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Lazuran Riku was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
