Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Reeler (ranked 4602 p4p, 5964 weight class) and Clark Peter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Clark Peter enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Reeler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Clark Peter!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peter closes the distance and clinches.

Peter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Peter throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Reeler tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peter is in Reeler's guard.
Peter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reeler is trying to keep Peter in close.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Peter's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Reeler doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reeler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Peter is one step ahead there.
Reeler is trying to keep Peter in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peter distracts Reeler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Peter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reeler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Peter chips away with some ground and pound.
Peter is looking to stand up but Reeler won't let him.
Reeler wants to sweep here but Peter controlling him for the moment.
Peter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Peter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Reeler, up you get!
Reeler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Reeler tries to keep at a distance but Peter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Peter dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Reeler is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Peter is defending well.

Peter is trying to trip Reeler. He has hold of a leg but Reeler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Peter persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Reeler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Peter wants to control from the top but Reeler keeps moving.
Peter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reeler is keeping the position for now.

Reeler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Reeler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Peter is aware though and is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Peter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reeler is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Peter, into his guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Reeler won't allow Peter to sweep him here.
Reeler wants to control from the top but Peter keeps moving.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Clark Peter dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Peter gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Peter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reeler trying to control the position from guard on top but Peter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clark Peter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reeler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Peter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Reeler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Reeler slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Peter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reeler defends it easily.
Peter has momentary wrist control but Reeler slips an elbow through the middle.

Reeler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Reeler scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Peter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peter can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Reeler controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reeler shoots in for a takedown but Peter shows good takedown defense.
Peter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Reeler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reeler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Reeler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Peter changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Peter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Peter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Reeler's guard.

Reeler looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Peter is defending well. Reeler quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Peter has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Reeler celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kyle Reeler!
