The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Salles gets a clinch.

Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Salles is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Salles gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Salles turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Salles manages to end up in side control.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Salles lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Salles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
