Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyzon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slize (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slize is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Black Eyed Peace-I Got A Feeling. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Tyzon or perhaps it was just good defense by Slize which made him look bad.
Slize shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Tyzon counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tyzon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Slize had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tyzon is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Slize Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tyzon's back instead.

Tyzon manages to stand up with Slize still on his back. Eventually Slize drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Tyzon gets caught flat footed, as Slize shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Slize wants to control from the top but Tyzon keeps moving.

Tyzon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tyzon throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Slize gets a takedown into half guard.
Slize seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tyzon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slize is working away from the top position though.

Tyzon shoots for a double leg takedown but Slize sprawls well. He's pushed Tyzon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Slize postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tyzon looks a forlorn figure.

Slize is going olschool here, as he tries to force Tyzon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tyzon shrugs it off.

Tyzon is bucking up trying to escape but Slize cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
