Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hyseon Whang (ranked 3910 p4p, 4766 weight class) and Ross Nyland (ranked 490 p4p, 548 weight class). Ross Nyland will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ross Nyland!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nyland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whang gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Whang is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nyland to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nyland shrugs it off.
Nyland felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Nyland has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Whang to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nyland is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Whang pulls down on the head and he's put Nyland to sleep! This one is all over!
