The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Land throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Norman pushes Land away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Land gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Land unloads a knee to the mid-section. Norman lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Land is looking to break free of the clinch but Norman has double underhooks.
Land avoids the elbow strike from Norman, against the cage.
Land has had enough of the clinch but Norman keeps him there for the moment.
Land tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Land changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norman tries to avoid it but Land manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norman to the ground. Norman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Norman wanted to stand there but Land had control of the position.

Land had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Norman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Land Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Norman's back instead.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Norman is trying to get back to his feet but Land has full control of the position and if anything, Norman has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
