Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Holmes Jr (ranked 702 p4p, 1910 weight class) and Naoise Durnin (ranked 111 p4p, 272 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holmes Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Red - Damage. Durnin has chosen I'm Shipping Up To Boston by The Dropkick Murphy's as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Durnin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Holmes Jr blocks a body shot from Durnin.
Durnin lands with a light punch inside.
A nice left hand lands by Durnin.
Durnin trying to land knees to the body.
Durnin misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Holmes Jr.
Holmes Jr lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Holmes Jr drags the fight down to the ground.
Holmes Jr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Durnin's guard.

Holmes Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Durnin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Durnin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Durnin!

Holmes Jr is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Durnin has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Holmes Jr is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Durnin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holmes Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Holmes Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Durnin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Holmes Jr has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Durnin. Oh but Holmes Jr has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Durnin goes limp - he's gone! Holmes Jr jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
