Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leroy Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belini dodges the punch combination from Brown.
Brown with a nice cross.
It looks like Joe Belini has been cut. Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Belini. Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Belini moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brown throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Belini scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belini is working away from the top position though. Brown regains full guard. Nicely done. Belini stopping the sweep attempt from Brown. Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belini content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Brown wants to sweep here but Belini controlling him for the moment. Belini passes easily into side control. Nice work. Belini really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brown tries to improve position but can't. Belini controlling from side mount. Brown is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belini wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Belini lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Belini working the ground and pound from side control. Belini taking a breather here.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Belini thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Belini lands some shots froms side control. Belini tries for a kimura but Brown is defending well. Belini working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking for a sweep. Belini wants to control but Brown is keeping him busy. Belini is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Belini is keen to just control but Brown is a slippery customer. Belini missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Belini fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Brown misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Belini. Belini takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Belini. Belini goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Belini avoids a punch combination nicely.
Belini fails with the takedown. Belini throws a combination that misses and Brown counters with a straight right hand. Brown shoots in for a takedown but Belini shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leroy Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown is breathing heavily. Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brown scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Belini tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Belini dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joe Belini's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

letting Brown counter with a right hand. Belini looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brown misses with the combination.
Brown lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Belini. Belini gets slowly back to his feet. Belini takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Belini looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Brown! Brown is looking to get to half guard. Brown is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belini lands a heavy elbow. Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't. Belini has hold of Brown's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Brown manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Brown is looking to improve his position but Belini isn't that keen on the idea. Belini is going olschool here, as he tries to force Brown to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Brown shrugs it off. Belini lands with some strikes. Belini trying to control but Brown is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Belini lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Belini is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brown is surviving well by controlling Belini's body position as best he can. Brown is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Belini is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Brown tries to roll over but Belini keeps him under control. Belini scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Belini sitting and controlling from the half guard. Brown wants to get back to full guard. Belini winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Nice strikes from Belini there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Belini seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Belini lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Belini working over Brown with some ground and pound. Brown looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Belini controlling the action here. Belini looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Joe Belini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Joe Belini's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Belini connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Brown to the floor! Belini dives in looking for the finish!
Brown is rocked! Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. Brown manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Brown has his foot on Belini's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Belini works his way back into a safe position though. Belini is in close to Brown's body, working some short punches and elbows. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Belini holds on and takes a little breather. Belini working a defensive guard here.

You can see the frustration on Belini's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Belini is looking to regain half guard here but Brown keeps moving and retains side control. Belini sneaks back into half guard. Belini keeping control of the position. Brown works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belini sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Brown looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Belini is trying to get back to full guard. Brown is looking for a kimura but Belini is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brown to get the leverage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Belini can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belini has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though. Belini wants to get back to full guard. Brown is looking to advance position but Belini won't allow it.

Belini must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Belini stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Belini! Leroy Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Belini working away. Joe Belini is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brown is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
