Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Jorgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tony Jaa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorgan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jorgan misses with a body shot.
Jaa doesn't manage to clinch there - Jorgan circles away.
Jorgan looks to score with a jab to the body but Jaa is just out of range.
Jaa is looking to land body kicks.
Jaa slips a straight right by Jorgan.

Jorgan throws a looping overhand right but Jaa ducks down to avoid it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jorgan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jaa - the referee stops the clock and Jorgan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jaa. Jorgan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jaa scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Jaa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jaa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jaa trying to control but Jorgan is having none of it.
Jaa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jorgan looks a forlorn figure.

Jaa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jorgan manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jaa postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Jorgan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jaa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jorgan pushes Jaa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jaa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jaa thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jorgan is trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jorgan keeps working.

Jaa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
